Fans are all subjected to dynamic balance tests, and due to their high rotational speed, there are also high requirements for their balance. Especially for the impeller of the fan, which is very sensitive to external imbalance, the requirement for a small imbalance in its core is not very high. Based on this characteristic, the following methods can be used to repair faults that are prone to occur in the impeller:
1. If the rivet head of the impeller is worn, it can be welded by pressing the impeller body and the wheel hub, and the ultrafine grinder can restore the worn rivet head to its original normal state.
2. For situations where fatigue cracks are prone to occur at the rivet hole, a whole unused new welding rod can be used to weld and repair the crack, but it should be symmetrically centered around the impeller axis. The remaining welding rod at the crack should be left there, and a new welding rod should be used to repair the corresponding rivet hole crack. After welding, the remaining welding rod should be the same length as the welding rod left when repairing the symmetrical rivet, to ensure that the weight of the repaired weld is equal, If there are no cracks at the symmetrical rivet hole, the welding rod should also be overlaid here to offset the newly added welding weight at the symmetrical rivet hole crack. Welding according to this symmetrical weighting method can repair the cracks.
3. Conduct a simple dynamic balance test on the impeller. The method is also very simple. After supporting the impeller, use your hand to gently rotate it. If the balance cannot be reached, it will stop at the lowest point and swing left and right. If there is a bias weight, spot welding can be carried out on the opposite impeller to increase weight and balance it. Alternatively, a universal grinder can use an angle grinder to remove the welding marks on the bias impeller, which can also achieve balance. This can repair the fan and proceed with normal operation.
